This report focuses on the relationship between human health and people’s access to and connection with a clean, high quality natural environment. It presents information on England’s environment, and people’s exposure to environmental pollutants, flooding and climate change in relation to human health. Those produced in the largest amounts are now dispersed throughout the environment, and people worldwide are exposed to them[footnote 23]. A large number of new chemicals are produced and used each year, and it takes time to build up evidence on their hazards and risks. In addition, most chemicals degrade over time, and information on the by-products of this degradation are not always available. There is a growing focus on better understanding the natural environment and quantifying the true benefits to health. This can be done using a natural capital based approach. Natural capital accounting helps us measure those benefits people and wildlife receive from natural ‘assets’ such as woodland, parks and street trees. It helps us monitor change, inform decision making and protect them for future generations. For example, many people enjoy leisure time in freshwater and coastal waters without information on water quality. For many people, choices about their exposure to environmental hazards are determined by their limited options and not by the availability of information.

A diverse variety of living organisms (life forms) can be found in the biosphere on Earth, and properties common to these organisms—plants, animals, fungi, protists, archaea, and bacteria—are a carbon- and water-based cellular form with complex organization and heritable genetic information. Living organisms undergo metabolism, maintain homeostasis, possess a capacity to grow, respond to stimuli, reproduce and, through natural selection, adapt to their environment in successive generations. The most commonly used classification scheme is the one originally developed by Wladimir Köppen. The Thornthwaite system, in use since 1948, uses evapotranspiration as well as temperature and precipitation information to study animal species diversity and the potential impacts of climate changes. The natural environment or natural world encompasses all biotic and abiotic things occurring naturally, meaning in this case not artificial. The term is most often applied to Earth or some parts of Earth. This environment encompasses the interaction of all living species, climate, weather and natural resources that affect human survival and economic activity.Built environments are where humans have fundamentally transformed landscapes such as urban settings and agricultural land conversion, the natural environment is greatly changed into a simplified human environment. Even acts which seem less extreme, such as building a mud hut or a photovoltaic system in the desert, the modified environment becomes an artificial one.The massive environmental changes of humanity in the Anthropocene have fundamentally affected all natural environments including: climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution from plastic and other chemicals in the air and water. More precisely, we can consider the different aspects or components of an environment, and see that their degree of naturalness is not uniform.

Excessive time spent searching for and consolidating information · Risk of regulatory non-compliance due to absence of alerts and monitoring · The key to overcoming these challenges lies in implementing a system that centralizes, organizes, and automates the management of all environmental information. From environmental permits and air quality monitoring to energy consumption data and waste management, all information is centralized in one place, eliminating data dispersion and creating a consistent institutional memory. The platform automatically organizes information according to environmental categories, applicable regulations, and assigned responsible parties. This allows any authorized user to quickly find the information they need, regardless of who originally registered it.With centralized information, M-Risk can analyze large volumes of data to generate relevant trends and patterns that facilitate informed, agile, and effective decision-making. The platform’s algorithms identify correlations and projections that would be impossible to detect manually. · Expiration alerts ensure that critical dates such as permit renewals, report submissions, or environmental commitment compliance are never overlooked.
